In partnership with the City of Oakland and Tech Exchange, OUSD is offering a free computer and/or internet hot spot for families that qualify. These devices would be for students to keep forever! To apply, please complete the OUSD Tech Access Survey. In the meantime, Skyline is happy to loan you and your family a laptop computer and/or internet hot spot (for free) to start the school year!

AERIES + GOOGLE FIXES:

  • MY PASSWORD DOESN'T WORK WHEN I TRY TO LOG INTO GOOGLE: Make sure you're typing in your email correctly (remember that your email looks like this: "s_firstname.lastname@ousd.org"). Remember, your password is your student ID# with two zeros at the front. If it's still not working, reset your password. If your password is still not working, text the Skyline Support Line @ ‪(510) 473-6197‬ for some help.

  • I CAN'T LOGIN INTO AERIES: The process for logging into AERIES changed this summer, but it's still pretty easy to login. Steps are below, or you can watch this short tutorial (thanks, Natalia!)

      • First, make sure you're logging into the AERIES student portal at student.ousd.org

      • Type your student email address in the white box

      • Click the red button "next"

      • Click "Sign in with Google"

      • That will take you to your Gmail account.

      • Click the Gmail account and it will redirect you to Aeries

chromebook + hotspot FIXES:

  • MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS NOT RECOGNIZED WHEN I TRY TO LOG INTO MY CHROMEBOOK: First, make sure you're typing in your email correctly (remember that your email looks like this: "s_firstname.lastname@ousd.org"). If the login page says "Enterprise Enrollment", that's an easy fix we can take care of. Simply text the Skyline Support Line @ ‪(510) 473-6197 and we'll walk you through it.

  • HOW DO I SETUP THE INTERNET HOTSPOT I CHECKED OUT FROM SKYLINE?: You can find great video tutorials here: English / Spanish / Mam / Arabic / Cantonese / Vietnamese

  • MY HOTSPOT IS NOT WORKING WELL: 90% of the time, turning your hotspot on and off multiple times (3 - 4 at least) will fix most problems. If the connection is going in and out, try moving to a different part of your home for better reception. If you continue to experience significant problems, text the Skyline Support Line @ ‪(510) 473-6197 for more help.
